Speech from my Future Self to where I am Now

A poem I wrote for a friend going through a difficult time:

You’ll go from famine to feast.

You’ll go from “I’m never going to be enough,” to “I am stronger than I knew I could be.”

You’ll go from perpetual death caused by decade old lies to newborn and rediscovered truths.

You’ll go from weakness to strength.

Oh, you’ll go through hell again. But this time it’ll be to bring others out through the path of healing you’ve paved.

You’ll go from asking, “Will I survive this?” to realizing it’s a declaration.

I will survive this.
